Was a success! I am very pleased with the progress I made on my two chosen wips.
I numbered all my wips from 1- 20. Then I used the number generator to pick. The two winners were Dawn of Spring and Shepherd's Purse.
First I started of with the f word. Yes, lots of frogging on the Dawn of Spring and restitching. The next band in the sampler was hem stitching which involved cutting the linen, something I had not done before. I think that's why I put it aside for so long. I was unsure how to go about hem stitching. Victoria Sampler on You Tube to my rescue. She has a lot of wonderful tutorials. I did the stitching and the cutting. It wasn't so bad. It was actually fun.

Next on to Shepherd's Purse. Got in a few silk threads and am happy to have done that.

I also dug into the bottom of my tickle trunk of stitched pieces and pulled out this little frog. The designer is Charley Harper. It has been stitched for ages and just waiting to be put together. The time came :) I think he is so cute.

Beautiful progress and I just LOVE your frog finish. Too cute!! I did hardanger once and cut the fabric. It was scary but the finished piece is just beautiful. Not something I would do more of. But at least I can say I tried it.

ReplyDeleteGreat IHSW post and progress. You made great progress on Dawn of Spring and I just love those colors! Great start on Shepherd's Purse too and the little frog is toooo cute! Is he a pin cushion?
